All No.1 Family Estate wines are produced and bottled in Marlborough at our specialist méthode traditionelle winery.

When No.1 Family Estate launched in 1999, Owner Daniel Le Brun, also opened the winery for client processing, with a vision to support and grow the production of traditional method sparkling wine across New Zealand.

Clients are responsible for the winemaking, blending, and overall style of their méthode traditionelle. We receive their finished base wine, add liqueur de tirage and yeast, and bottle it using our specialised equipment. Bottles are then returned to the client for lees ageing and maturation.

When ready, bottles come back to us for automated riddling, disgorging, dosage, corking, wire muselet, and final labelling and packaging. Our experienced team ensures a seamless, high-quality process that supports each client’s craft and vision.

Many of Daniel’s original clients continue to entrust us with the processing of their méthode traditionelle wines—testament to the trust, expertise, and care we’ve provided from the very beginning.
